HISTORY

Nortúnel was founded in 2000 to participate in the response to major challenges that were going to be presented in the following years to adapt transport infrastructure in Spain into the levels of developed countries of the European Union: high speed rail network, plans for the modernization of roads, underground urban transport systems (tube),... But also understanding that, regardless of the expected development in short or medium term, the underground works were going to play a leading role in the future of the construction because of the social requirement to respect the environment and the need to make the most of urban areas under the surface.

After more than a decade of its establishment the expectations have been widely satisfied, having Nortúnel contributed to many of the most significant infrastructure projects carried out in Spain during that period.

Nowadays Nortúnel has started its internationalization by opening a local office in Colombia.
