The Olesa capital is part of the Barcelona Orbital Dual Carriageway construction project, in the section between Olesa de Montserrat and Viladecavalls.
This is a two-way tunnel with two independent tunnels (one in each direction) measuring 1245 m each. Each tunnel has a single direction three lane road.
The total excavation section varies between 177 m² for the IL rock type and 183 m² for the IIP rock type. Excavation takes place on rock mass is constituted basically by sandstone, conglomerates, lime and clay.
