The Durango-Amorebieta/Etxano section is from kilometre point 0+000 (connection point with the Abadiño-Durango section) and 4+600 (connection point with the Amorebieta /Etxano-Amorebieta/Etxano section), with a length of 4.6 km. The most characteristic parts of this project are as follows:
- Tunnels: suitable for two-way tunnels and 85, 95 and 100 m² sections, all completed using conventional methods, with a total length of 2426 m.

- Viaducts: 5 viaduct with 14 m panels, suitable for twin tunnels with a total length of 846.15 m. The longest is the Etxena viaduct with 428.15 m.
The total span has a length of 4600 m, of which 3272.15 m (71.1%), are tunnels or viaducts.
