Completion of 2180 m of two-way tunnels on Line 3 of the Bilbao Metro between Etxebarri and Txurdinaga, with two cavern stations and the corresponding access cannons and lift shafts, as well as extraction shafts under the platform, emergency ventilation shafts and to emergency exits/ventilation. The tunnel section is approximately 56 m² and the cavern station some 190 m². The general completion method was using excavation with a shearer. The shafts were excavated via raise boring.
